Dr Barton is one of the Project Leads for the GLA:D Australia Programme. His role involves the implementation of physiotherapist led exercise and education to patients with hip and knee osteoarthritis.

Centre for Research Excellence in Total Joint Replacement (OPUS): Dr Barton is an Early Career Research Fellow working in Stream 3, which is developing non-surgical alternatives for end stage osteoarthritis. His specific role is assisting with the development of an online platform and treatment options for people unlikely to respond to joint replacement surgery.
TREK (Translating Research Evidence and Knowledge) group: Founder. TREK’s overarching aim is to provide engaging multimedia resources to facilitate knowledge translation to patients and clinicians.
